Hello, I'm Liam
I work as a project manager. I am a parent. I am an expat living in New York, United States.
A few years ago, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually opened a new chapter of life abroad.
How It Began
Moving to United States wasn't part of the master plan. As with many international relocations, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far larger.
The initial months were demanding — unfamiliar systems, new routines, and shifted expectations. Routine tasks seemed more complex than expected.
The Adjustment Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that worked for us, met other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created Orbit Novel Wander
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism content. What was missing was an honest, everyday family viewpoint.
This site exists to bridge that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in United States.
